Webinar was conducted on the topic “Into The World Of Deep Learning” in association with Computer Society of India and ISTE on 20.09.2020 , via Microsoft Teams for II, III and IV Year students of the Department. Mr.A.Vishal, Research Assistant at Illinois Institute of Technology, Greater Chicago Area and 2017 Passed out Alumnus.

Guest Lecture in the topic “Different Roles in Data Science Industry” was conducted in association with Computer Society of India CSI and ISTE on 13.09.2020, via Microsoft Teams for II, III and IV Year students of the Department. Mr.R.DineshKarthik, Senior Data Engineer at Zalando SE, Berlin Area, Germany and 2013 Passed out Alumnus delivered the talk.

Six Days Online Faculty Development Program was conducted on “Design and
Analysis of Algorithms, Compiler Design, Artificial Intelligence and its
Applications” On 09.12.2020 to 15.12.2020. The FDP was inaugurated by
Dr.Rajeswari Mukesh, Chairman of CSI Kancheepuram Chapter and Dr.B.Vanathi,
HOD/CSE delivered a Welcome Address.

A Staff Development Training Program was conducted on “Basics of Networks, Programming and Web Designing” for Technical Staff on 14.12.2020.

Tech, United States and 2012 passed out Alumnus delivered a talk on the key
points to be followed when choosing a higher education and the procedure to
settle down in abroad.

Mr.N.Gopalakrishnan, Data Engineer at NIKE, Beaverton, Oregon, United States and 2010 Passed out Alumnus delivered the talk on data processing and Customer Services Dataflow at NIKE and the importance of data pipeline to integrate data from multiple sources and to gain business insights for competitive advantage

Seminar:
A one day National
Seminar was conducted on the ‘Cognitive Machine Intelligence’ on 27.03.2021 via
Microsoft Teams. The Seminar sessions was handled by Dr.Rajkamal, senior
Professor, Prestige Institute of Engineering, Indore, Mr.R.Ramprakash, Director
AI research, Zoho corporation, Mr.S.Srinivasa Raghavan, Head of R&D
department , Smart Art Technologies Ltd. About 115 participants actively
participated in this seminar.

Motivational Talk for the Second year, third year and final year CSE students was organized on 1/2/2021, 2/2/2021 and 4/2/2021 via
Microsoft Teams. The
Resource Persons were Dr.R.Raja Rajan, Educationalist founder, students Vision
Academy,Chennai, Ms.Swetha surendran, Associate consultant ,senior consultant,Dr.J.Jayachandran,Professor
& Head,Department of English,Annauniversity Campus,Villupuram.The experts highlighted the important
features like attitude, Career guidance, recent trends in computer fields.
Workshop
A one day workshop was conducted on ‘Patent Drafting’ on 24.03.21 via Microsoft Teams ,about 85 participants participated in the workshop. The Resource Person was Mr.R.Rajkumar ,Assistant Professor, Department of CSE ,SRMIST,KTR campus.
WEDP
A one month Women Entrepreneurship Development Program (WEDP)
Sponsored by Department of Science and Technology(DST) was conducted from 18th
January 2021 to 15th February
2021.The chief guest was Dr.Ilavarasi Murugavel, Director Shri Krishna
Fashions, Salem. The Chief Guest encouraged the participants and motivated them
to explore the world which has lot of opportunities and challenges.
Technical Talk
A Technical talk was conducted on the
“Design thinking for future Engineers” in association with Industry Institute
Partnership & Institution Innovation Council. Lecture was delivered by Mr.R.Kaja
Bantha Navan, Assistant Professor, Sathyabama Institute of Science and
Technology, Co-founder Helios Innovation (P) Ltd, Chennai via Microsoft Teams
on 13.03.21 about 64 partipants participated in the session.
A Technical talk was conducted on the
“Introduction to IPR and IP managements for startup “in association with
Industry Institute Partnership & Institution Innovation Council. Lecture
was delivered by Dr.A.Samydurai, Associate Professor and Mrs.C.Pabitha,
Assistant professor, SRM Valliammai Engineering College via Microsoft Teams on 12.03.21
about 52 participants participated in the session.
